More than 100 teams from around Philadelphia and across the country will be on the Schuylkill River Saturday for the largest single-day regatta in the U.S.
The 17th annual Independence Dragon Boat Regatta is a celebration of the competition and camaraderie the sport has generated in Philly which is home to the oldest and most decorated dragon boat club in the country. This weekend kicks off Pride Month in Philadelphia. It’s full of queer events, from Pride story time at the library to a protest in the streets — and of course, the biggest one: the Philadelphia Pride March and Festival.
