The Georgia Department of Transportation is announcing another change to North Druid Hills Road, which is already under construction to replace the bridge over Peachtree Creek in Brookhaven.

On June 1, the new Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta hospital campus on North Druid Hills Road will open a new intersection and sidewalk.

Motorists headed to CHOA will enter the hospital driveway from the new signalized intersection, just east of the former Tullie Road entrance. Tullie Road is closing until further notice for drainage and utility relocation work.

Drivers can expect temporary lane closures, delays, and navigation apps that may not immediately reflect changes. GDOT recommends using www.511ga.org.

GDOT plans to improve the I-85 and North Druid Hills Road intersection by adding a displaced left turn, constructing an additional bridge over the interstate, and creating a braided ramp similar to Ashford Dunwoody Road at I-285.
