Israel-Hamas War | ‘Kill me by F-16’ Video of Sinwar requesting for ‘gift’ from IDF goes viral

Hamas chief Yahya Sinwar, who was the leader of this wanted outfit, was killed by the IDF on 17 October. Sinwar, whom the IDF called the “face of evil”, was on the radar of Israeli forces since 7 October when the hostilities began.

In the meantime, an old video has surfaced online in which Sinwar can be heard expressing his desire to be killed by F-16 or missiles. In the video, he says, “The greatest gift that the enemy and the occupation can give me is my assassination.”

In particular, Sinwar was killed in the very first encounter with the IDF since the surprise attacks of 7 October. Sinwar, who is believed to have planned the 7 October attacks, was believed to be the ‘spine’ of the Hamas militant group.

Earlier, ex-Israeli envoy to India, Gilon had said that “Israel does things differently” when he was asked about Sinwar’s release in 2011.
