French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna met with Emirati counterpart, Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Friday, as part of a three-day visit to the Persian Gulf, aimed at strengthening ties with the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Both ministers were joined by delegations for a luncheon event as they sat down to discuss regional issues, energy cooperation and opportunites to build upon their strategic partnership.
Colonna is scheduled to visit a French military base, as well as the Louvre Abu Dhabi during her visit to the Emirates.
The French Minister of Foreign Affairs was in Riyadh a day earlier, where she and a Saudi delegation agreed to establish a framework for energy cooperation, with a specific focus on green technologies including hydrogen production and carbon capture.
