Uday Tamimi, a Palestinian gunman allegedly responsible for the shooting in Shuafat a few days ago was shot dead on Wednesday near the entrance to Maaleh Adumim settlement, West Bank.
Police officer Uzi Levy told reporters that security services killed Uday Tamimi after he opened fire, wounding one of the guards. According to him, a grenade was also found on Tamimi’s body.
The Israeli army had been searching for Tamimi since October 8, following the fatal shooting near the Shuafat refugee camp, were a 18-year-old female soldier was killed.
Over 120 Palestinians have been killed so far in fighting this year, including stone-throwing youths and others not involved in confrontations, making it the deadliest since 2015.
The Israeli army claims that most of the Palestinians killed were militants.
