French President Emmanuel Macron attended the commemoration ceremony for the 104th anniversary of the 1918 Armistice, held on Friday in Paris.
Footage filmed near Arc de Triomphe shows Macron leaving a wreath at the feet of the statue of former French Prime Minister Georges Clemenceau who served during the First World War.
A minute of silence was also held next to the Unknown Soldier tomb. While attendees watched the ceremony from the stage, the pedestrians could sneak a peak of it through a police security line.
Armistice Day marks the end of World War I in November 11, 1918, and it is celebrated with ceremonies all across France.
