Yamkeshwar. Ankita murder case in Pauri district of Uttarakhand has created a stir. In this case, the police has got great success. Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old girl, had gone missing five days ago from a resort in Yamkeshwar area, police said. After the murder, the accused threw his body in Chila Nagar. The police have arrested the resort owner Pulkit Arya, manager Saurabh Bhaskar and assistant manager Ankit Gupta in this murder case. Pulkit is said to be the son of Haridwar BJP leader Vinod Arya.
Regarding the matter, Additional Superintendent of Police, Pauri, Shekhar Chandra Suyal said that there is a resort in Ganga Bhogpur area located on Rishikesh-Chila motor road. Ankita was the receptionist in this resort. When Ankita did not reach home on September 19, her parents filed a case at the revenue police post Udaipur Talla. He told that the police took the matter seriously and handed over its investigation to Laxmanjhula police station on Thursday. The police raided as soon as the case was registered and arrested all the three accused within 24 hours.
The accused kept confusing the police
Additional Superintendent of Police Shekhar Chandra Suyal said that when the accused were interrogated, they started procrastinating. Not only this, he tried to confuse the police completely. But, when the police questioned him strictly, he broke down and revealed the whole secret of the murder. The accused told that they first killed Ankita and then dumped her body in the Chila canal. Police is searching for the dead body of the deceased from this canal. The main accused Pulkit Arya is said to be the son of Haridwar BJP leader Vinod Arya, who has also been a minister of state in the past.
The accused will be punished severely- Dhami
Describing the incident as sad and heinous, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that whoever has committed this crime will be punished severely. Reacting to the incident, Dhami said, “It is a sad and heinous incident. Police is doing its job. Strictest action will be taken against the perpetrators of such heinous crimes. Justice will be ensured to the victim.
