6 people died in separate incidents of wall collapse
Four innocent brothers and sisters were also among those who died.
Schools in the district closed till September 23 in view of heavy rain
Etawah. Incidents of wall collapse have also increased in Etawah district of Uttar Pradesh amid heavy rains. In the latest developments, six people, including a couple, were killed when the wall of a kutcha house and a petrol pump collapsed. Four real siblings are also included in the dead. Confirming the death of 6 people, Etawah District Magistrate Avnish Rai said that 6 people were buried under the rubble due to the collapse of the wall of a kutcha house in Chandrapura village under the Civil Lines police station area of Etawah around 1 pm. By the time the villagers tried to evacuate them, 4 innocent siblings had died. His grandmother and another innocent were seriously injured in this accident. Those who have been admitted to the Headquarters Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Joint Hospital for treatment.
The dead include Shinku 10 years old, Abhi 8 years old, Sonu 7 years old and Aarti 5 years old. 75-year-old Sharda Devi and 4-year-old Rishabh have been seriously injured in this painful accident. The parents of the four siblings who became victims of death have already died. After the death of the parents, the whole house became destitute. All the children lived with their grandmother.
The family was not getting the benefit of any scheme
After the accident, Etawah District Magistrate Avnish Rai and Senior Superintendent of Police Jai Prakash Singh went to see the elderly grandmother and her grandson admitted to the district hospital. After that he went to the spot and inspected it. The villagers told that the family is not getting the benefit of any scheme related to the central and state government. This is the reason why the family was forced to live in a kutcha house.
Elderly couple also died due to wall collapse
In the second incident, a couple died after the wall of Bhatia petrol pump collapsed near Kripal Pura village under Ikdil police station area of Etawah. It was told that Ramsanehi 65 and his wife Reshma 63 Bhatia were sleeping on the side of the wall of the petrol pump. After the wall collapsed late in the night, both of them got buried in the rubble, till they were rescued, they died.
School closed till 23 September
Etawah District Magistrate Avnish Rai said that in view of the heavy rains, orders have been issued to close all government and non-government schools in Etawah from September 22 to September 23. Instructions have been given to the managers and operators of all the schools that keeping in mind the health of the children, all government and non-government schools should be kept closed.
