After a six-year closure due to renovations, London’s most chill-inducing museum is back – and gorier than ever. Based on the collections of 18th century surgeon John Hunter (and what a collection; the official site says “Upon his death in 1793, Hunter had amassed a collection of over 14,000 specimens used for surgical training”), the Hunterian has made the best of the 3,000 or so specimens that survived a 1941 bombing. Expect a crocodile captured just as it emerges from its egg, a perfectly-preserved vulture’s head, some skin tables (yes, really), and loads more. Ew, but also, ooh.
